Walnut, cherry, maple, and red oak Ombre Board

This 16 ½” x 12″ x 1 ½” end grain cutting board is handcrafted from walnut, cherry, maple, and red oak hardwoods, arranged in a smooth ombre-striped pattern. The layout flows from rich walnut to warm cherry to light maple, then reverses back—framed by deep walnut on both sides. Alternating strips of each wood create a clean, modern gradient with natural contrast and warmth.
The addition of red oak brings subtle texture and variation to the grain, enhancing the visual depth of the design. Built using end grain construction, the board offers a durable, knife-friendly surface that resists deep cuts and helps keep blades sharper longer.
Each board is hand-sanded smooth, finished with food-safe mineral oil, and sealed with a custom blend of beeswax, mineral oil, and vitamin E. This finish protects the wood, highlights its natural beauty, and ensures the board is ready for daily use.
